Triple beds are still relatively new in the Pakistani furniture market, but they are growing in popularity fast – and for very good reason. If you have three children sharing a room, or even two children with frequent guests, a triple bed is one of the cleverest space solutions available.
What Exactly is a Triple Bed?
A triple bed provides three sleeping surfaces. The most common configuration in Pakistan is:
- Three single bunks stacked vertically (rare, requires high ceilings)
- Two bunks at the top and a pull-out or trundle bed underneath
- An L-shaped design with two upper bunks on perpendicular walls and a larger lower bed in the corner
- A bunk bed combined with a separate pull-out trundle on the floor level
The L-shaped triple bunk is our most popular design at Wali Kids Furniture – it’s attractive, practical, and fits well in square rooms.
Who Benefits Most from a Triple Bed?
- Families with three children of similar age
- Families who frequently host nephews, nieces, or cousins (very common in Pakistani culture)
- Homes where grandchildren visit regularly
- Guest rooms that need to sleep multiple people without permanent large furniture
Safety Considerations for Triple Bunks
With three levels, safety rules become even more important:
- Only children above 6 years on the second level
- Only children above 8 years on the third level (if applicable)
- Extremely sturdy construction – triple bunks carry significantly more combined weight
- Full guardrails on every upper sleeping surface
- A staircase rather than a ladder is strongly recommended for triple bunks
Room Requirements
Triple beds are larger than standard bunk beds. Before ordering, make sure:
- The room is at least 10 feet wide and 12 feet long
- The ceiling height is at least 9.5-10 feet for three-level designs
- There is sufficient ventilation – three children sleeping in one room generate more heat and humidity
Custom Design Options
At Wali Kids Furniture, we can customise triple beds to your specific room dimensions and requirements. Want one level to have a study desk instead of a sleeping surface? Want built-in drawers in the base? Want specific colours for each child’s level? All of this is possible.
